Chris Edison was born Dec. 1, 1991, in Riverside, Calif. He will graduate from Curtis High School in University Place, Wash., in 2010. Edison's dominance in the trenches have earned him several honors and the opportunity to take his gridiron skills to Linfield University next Fall.

Edison earned All-SPSL honorable mention offensive lineman honors following the 2007 season, when he started nine games for Curtis. In 2008, he earned first team all-league recognition for his play on the offensive and defensive lines. He allowed only one sack as his team compiled a 10-1 record, and was named SPSL Offensive Lineman of the Year.

He earned all the same honors for a second consecutive year as a senior in 2009, despite playing only seven games due to an ankle injury. Edison was also named team captain and earned the "Mr. Viking" and Most Inspirational team awards while helping his team compile an 11-1 record.

Finally, Edison was named first team all-area offensive lineman, first team all-state offensive lineman and was voted Athlete of the Month for November. He was nominated to play in the 2010 East-West All Star Classic in Everett.

Edison has earned respect for his contributions both on and off the field. His football coach at Curtis, Clay Angle, had nothing but tremendous things to say about him.

"Chris Edison is the best Curtis lineman in recent history," Angle said. "He has won many individual awards for his play on the field the past three years. However, Chris' greatest legacy at Curtis will be because of his leadership. Chris and his senior classmates have helped establish a culture of hard work and discipline for our program. Chris has led by example to show his teammates how to work, and he has encouraged teammates countless times to greater efforts. Chris has volunteered time to work for our Little Viks junior program and mentored the younger players in our program."

"The contributions by Chris Edison have not only helped the current Curtis Viking football teams, but future ones as well."
