Dick Meyer

Meyer was the only junior among the five. He returned in 1939 and won the state singles championship. He later won the Tacoma city tournament in 1945, his second trip to the finals. World War II interrupted his athletic endeavors but Dick got back into tennis in the early '60s. He teamed with Thayer Bliss for many doubles tournament titles throughout the region. Dick was also an accomplished badminton player, winning state and regional championships in the 1940s.
