Ray Mahnkey

Ray was the athletic director and baseball coach at Curtis High School from 1959 to 1975. Born March 8, 1914, Mahnkey graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma in 1932 and attended Washington State University. He played basketball, baseball and football in both high school and college and embarked on a 35-year coaching run following his graduation in 1940.
