Thursday November 10the the TAC welcome the OL Reign as the speaker at our lunch meeting.  We hope that you are able to join us for our meeting as we hear about what the 2023 season has in store for the Reign. 

 

 

The Apple Cup is just a few weeks away, which means it is time for another one of Doug McArthur's "pools".  Squares are $25 each and there are still a few squares left.  50% of the pot goes to the TAC's Youth Sports Fund and the other 50% is split among the quarterly winners.  The board pays:

The TAC will be participating in the 2022 Tacoma Santa Parade on December 4th.  We are looking for TAC members that would like to participate in the parade.  Our entry will include students that have been nominated for the Fall Athlete of the Year from schools throughout Pierce County along with TAC members, friends and family.  The parade starts at 4:30.  The route is along South Tacoma Way between 50th and 54th Streets.  We are asking that all participants arrive by 3:45 for staging.  We are one of the first entries in the parade, we estimate that you will be finished with the parade about 6:15.  Please let Karyn Siegrist know if you are interested in participating - KarynTAC@gmail.com or 253-307-9096 for more details.

 

The parade is part of a full afternoon of festivities.  Come early and enjoy bands, shopping, food and more. The festival starts at noon. 

The recognition and award banquet for the fall sports will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the McGavick Convention Center.  The doors open at 11:30 and the event is from 12:00-1:00.  We do ask that all attendees please register for the event by November 29^th to ensure that we have enough lunches for everyone.  This is a separate registration than the nominations.  The TAC will host the nominated student and one coach/athletic director/school representative per nomination.  Additional guests are invited to join in the celebration.  Tickets for additional guests are $20 each.  Click here to register for the Fall Athlete of the Year Banquet. 

The Golden Gloves Committee will be meeting at Tower Lanes on Friday November 11th at 12:30.  If you are interested in participating on the committee please either come to the meeting or contact Dr. Greg Plancich directly.  

 

The Golden Gloves event will be on January 28, 2023 at the UPS Field House.  

 

The Tacoma Boxing Club is also raising funds for the National Championships in December.  The Tacoma Weekly is building a donor site to help with the fundraising.  

The 2023 Tribute to Champions will be on Tuesday May 16th at the McGavick Conference Center in Lakewood.  There will be a Non-Alcoholic Dessert Social from 5:30pm - 6:30pm and the program will be from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.
