    Kate Pestova, sophomore, 5'10" Outside Hitter from Auburn Riverside High School, Auburn WA. Four years after moving to the United States from Kazakhstan, Kate Pestova has left her mark on the Tacoma Community College (TCC) Volleyball Program. During her two years she lead TCC to an 8th place finish in 2018 Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) Championships and a 4th place finish this year in the 2019 tournament, tying TCC's best placement in program history. Kate is a member of the 2018 and 2019 All-West Region 1st Team, 2019 All-NWAC 1st Team and was voted an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) 2nd Team All American. In 2018 Kate led the NWAC in aces per set, the nation in kills per set and in 2019 she finished in the top 5 for all junior college athletes for kills per set. Kate's energy and competitiveness is matched by her professionalism on and off the court. She will transfer to Ottawa Arizona University to continue her education and volleyball career. Kate was the 2018 TCC Female Athlete of the Year and we are pleased to announce Kate Pestova as the 2019/20 TCC Female Athlete of the year.
