Teri Wood has officiated high school and college volleyball matches in Pierce County for over 35 years and is the second longest tenured member of the Tacoma-Pierce County Volleyball Officials Board. She is also one of only two Nationally-rated officials that the organization has had since its inception in 1973. Teri has officiated college matches in the Pac 10, Big Sky, Great Northwest Athletic, Cascade Collegiate and Northwest conferences covering D1, 2, 3, NAIA and community college levels. Currently, the 1974 Aquinas Academy graduate officiates matches at Pacific Lutheran, Puget Sound, St Martins and local community colleges. Wood has also held several leadership positions in the local association and is active in the training of new officials. She also has an extensive coaching resume including stints as volleyball coach at Wilson and Lincoln High. I am proud to be a member of the Tacoma Pierce County Volleyball Officials Board and am extremely grateful to have been a pioneer and role model for young women who aspire to become officials.
