Paul Guetle started officiating boys basketball in 1994, and in the intervening 17 years has worn the striped shirt and whistle while working high school, junior college and collegiate contests. He has officiated games in the NAIA's Cascade Collegiate Conference, and in the 35-member Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC). He continues to handle high school contests, and as a result of his outstanding work has officiated at four state high school tournaments, including to 4A state championship contests. For the last seven years, Paul has served on the Western Washington Basketball Officials Association board, including two as president. Paul's own athletic accomplishments include 15 years playing softball for Tacoma Dodge Easton, including five as the coach. He was inducted into the USSSA Men's Hall of Fame in 2010 as a coach. Born in Seattle, Paul graduated from Bellarmine Prep in 1984. He lives in Puyallup where he works as sales manager for Korum Ford.
