If you've ever been to the Tacoma Dome to watch Mat Classic, the multi-classification state wrestling tournament, you've likely seen Brian Dunbar at work. Brian started as a wrestling official in 1990 and has been at it for 21 years. Brian officiates at all levels - youth, junior high, high school and collegiate, and has officiated in six state and 15 regional tournaments. A member of the Western Washington Wrestling Officials Association (WWWOA), Brian has been on the organization's board a number of years and currently is the vice president in charge of training officials. "I started officiating wrestling to give me something to do during the gloomy winter months and never dreamed I'd enjoy this as much as I do," Brian said. "I enjoy working with the younger officials and enjoy wrestling officiating at all levels," Brian said. "I strive to set good examples for what I think is the most rewarding sport out there." Born May 26, 1960 in Shelton, Brian is a 1978 graduate of Shelton High School, works in sales for Oldcastle Precast and now resides in Tacoma.
