Earl first made his mark on the Tacoma-area sports scene via his involvement with indoor soccer teams, the Stars and Galaxy. His athletic attention has since shifted to the volleyball court. He is now one of the top college line judges in the region. Earl is highly respected by coaches and players throughout the region for his knowledge and fair application of the rules and commitment to the sport. He has been a member Tacoma Pierce County Volleyball Officials Board since 2003. He was the President of the Executive Board in 2007. Originally from Fontana, Calif., Earl was involved in the formation of the Tacoma Stars indoor soccer team in 1983 and served as general manager in 1991. He was also part of the Tacoma Galaxy which twice played in Atlanta for the national indoor championship, winning it in 1993.
