Important: Applicants must attach a copy of their IRS 501Š(3) Determination Letter and a detailed event budget (revenue/expense report) to the application, if applicable to the request. All questions listed below must be answered in full. Applications lacking this information will not receive grant consideration.

The TAC Athletic Fund does not provide funding for coaches salaries or individual team entry fees for league participation. The TAC Athletic Fund does consider funding requests for equipment, facility upgrades, advertising, and the creation of new programs that encourages youth participation in particular. Additional funding is also considered for travel, lodging, meals and uniforms for teams and individuals who are participating at national competitions that may bring significant recognition to the Tacoma-Pierce County area. Projects promoting sports and civic betterment through literary, educational, and preservationist means are also eligible for consideration.

Please note: Grant requests are reviewed between the 1st and 15th of each month by the Fiscal Committee, presented to the membership between the 16th and 31st of each month and then discussed and voted at the monthly business meeting which typically occurs on the first Thursday of the month from October-June. Please take that fact into account when considering the timing of your request. In some circumstances you may be asked to attend a business meeting to respond to any inquiries by the Board of Directors. A post-event summary and financial report of all grant recipients within 30 days after the event is required. Failure to do so may jeopardize future consideration.
