Recognized with the prestigious Tom Names Inspirational Award by the Tacoma-Pierce Athletic Commission, Grace’s outstanding achievements in volleyball have earned her accolades and admiration from her peers and coaches alike.
As a standout outside hitter and team captain for the Emerald Ridge volleyball team, Grace has been a driving force behind the Jaguar offense for the past four years. Despite facing adversity, Grace led her team with remarkable statistics, including 318 kills, 4.5 kills per set, 45 service aces, and 311 receptions. Her outstanding performance earned her recognition as the CO-MVP of the South Puget Sound League and the Emerald Ridge MVP, underscoring her invaluable contributions to her team’s success.
Grace’s journey on the volleyball court has been marked by resilience and determination, exemplified by her ability to overcome challenges with grace and fortitude. Despite suffering a season-ending injury during the postseason match, Grace remained a steadfast source of support and inspiration for her teammates, cheering them on from the sidelines and motivating them to rise to the occasion.

With a stellar GPA of 3.7, Grace has received numerous academic honors, including the President’s Award for Educational Excellence and the Emerald Ridge Scholar Athlete Award. Her commitment to service is equally commendable, as evidenced by her extensive involvement in volunteer activities, ranging from assisting at the Puyallup Food Bank to participating in youth camps and humanitarian trips abroad.
